Poem for Marco Simoncelli

Updated on September 16, 2017
Marco Simoncelli [1987-2011]
Marco Simoncelli [1987-2011]

Throughout the road

that brings to the sky

everyone is waiting for you

on the track's sides.

There are Villeneuve

and Senna

and Kato

and Tomizawa

and more and more

two-wheel and four-wheel.

It rains today

listen to the thunders.

But maybe

they are not thunders.

Up there

they're switchin' on the ignition.

Hopefully we can all win all the races in heaven. Until then track safety has to get better.

Yes, I agree with the other people who have commented thus far - it is a good, well-written poem.

Sad to see him go. You're managed to paint a sense of foreboding just before the accident. Nicely done.

It is always sad to read that someone died, especially so very young, but it is best to go out doing what you love.
