Poem: I wish I could deny.

I wish I could deny the joy of knowing you,

I wish I could deny and told myself you would never lie.

I wish I could deny this angst from leaving you,

I wish I could deny and never chose to say goodbye.

And I wish you wont deny and not make the choice to lie..

When I went and asked you about that other guy..

You smiled in nonchalance towards my stony countenance

waving off my worries with simple condescendence.

In the weeks that followed after,

You became too busy to entertain my calls

Too busy to even meet up for once at all.

Then the night came when I saw on face book

this 'romantic picture' of you kissing that other guy..

I guess I knew I can't deny that this love I had was just a lie.
