Poem:How you remind me
You remind me of someone
I use to sleep with
naïve and funny, you know
how to make me laugh.
I had to do a double take, the first time
we met.
I swear you were him, my heart jumped of memories,
learning about each other
he was so young, much younger than I
but mature in many ways,
then showing his age with how to love me
he didn’t know how.
Our brief affair was lustful
he learned a lot, I forgot too much
then we ended it.
I need more, he didn’t know how to
give any more than he had
fond memories show up and make me
smile.
