Poems and Poetry: You Insulated Me From Loneliness
Heart Melter
Before you came along I was like
A man suspended in a limbo
Awaiting the transfusion that will
Send new vitality coursing through
My blood. Your love.
You’re the only key that can unlock
My heart’s door
You’re the wool that has wonderfully
Insulated me from the loneliness, the
Cold and the fear of the outside world
Your smile is as brilliant as the sunlight
You’re my boat in the lake of pleasure
A swirl of excitement pulsed inside me
And brought a thrill that ached for more
Felt my bones melting under my flesh
You’re a heart melter.
