Poems and Poetry: Time Is Running Out

Updated on April 10, 2014

The Relationship is Over

You know I have to leave

Time is running out

And there is much to do

So many thing so little time

I watched as clouds scudded

Low across the sky of our

Relationship, blotting out

I had been near you for so

Long because I never suspected

The vile darkness that lurked

Beneath your fake outward charm.

I can’t forgive myself for being

So blind to your flaws

You are chaste outside but so

Rotten inside.

A nicely woven tale of sorrow and relationships that hurt deeply.

      Good Morning Tony,

This was very deep and understood I am sure by many. A person appears to have finally had enough and see's the other for what they are..a dark cloud is lifted only to see the ugliness of it all..very sad and thought provoking.Well written. Thank you for sharing.
