Poetry-- As I See It

Updated on January 31, 2012

Poetry is written art

or spoken words from the heart.

I've brought a different outlook

composed inside my poetry book.

With every word comprising lines

I've spent a lot of emphasis and time.

Continuously growing and planting seeds

producing poems I'd love to read.

You may decide to critique

but you can't deny that it is unique.

You can't deny it is written well

even if it is controversial.

I know that you will fall in love

with the style and humor displayed above.

I instill personality

in each and all of my poetry.

I want my books to demonstrate

the thoughts I've longed to captivate.

To show my thinking cap is on

and take the market by a storm.

I wish for it to comfort you

until As I See It, part 2.

I think it helps to start blogging for yolesruf. I let my topics come out as my day dictated. If it was a homeschooling-filled day of fodder, I wrote about that. If something happened with yoga, or I was feeling especially attached to what it gives me that day, I write on that. People will come as they are attracted to the topic being spoken of. But, a great side benefit of the blog for me has been a personal journal capability. At the end of the year, or as I go along, I print it out and bind it and I have my thoughts and feelings and some of our day to day occurrings right there to remember and my grandchildren down the line to pick up and read . . .It's all good. Write it, and they will come . . . LOL!-Cindy
