Poetry: Great President of A Great Nation

Updated on March 13, 2012

When Obama campaign slogan

“Yes we can!” was on every television

And radio stations all over the world

In 2008, not many people believed

He was serious and thought him

A joker but he was not deterred

He went ahead with those that

Believed in him and today we all

Know the result of that determination

I admire him for his unflagging courage

Obama is a wonder, and not just

Because of his vitality and boyish

Good looks that never seemed to change

But his brilliant ideas

He’d always amazed me by his strength

And absolutely awed me by his ability

To rule a sophisticated country like America

Until they became too obvious to be denied

He has dealt terrorism the hardest blow

What Obama has achieved is a lesson

For other young leaders to emulate

And show to the world that wisdom can

Also dwell in young brains and not only

In the old ones

Obama is a living example of what

Determination and faith in oneself can achieve

So be determined today to achieve something

That is great and surprise those who

Underestimate you

If Obama can do it you can also do it

Start today with strong determination

That cannot be discouraged and you will

Be surprise what you can achieve.

I appreciate your interest in my hubs. I've been interested in Obama's affairs because of the determination of his campaign. He believed being the president of US was possible and he went ahead and proved it. It is a lesson of very young person with laudable goal to pursue it with steel determination and it will come to pass.
