Poetry: Oneness Within This Multiverse
I heard a voice from a distant plane
And found a piece of death hidden in my mane.
I dreamed a dream that no one could see.
I lived a life that was never meant to be.
Who I am is a question that no one knows.
It is something that can’t even be answered by me.
Years go by as I walk this realm;
And even though everything changes, it is all still parallel.
Many have flowed in and out of this river essence,
But none have stayed in the depths for long.
Except for one that listened to the sound of my tap dancing misery...
Holding it close to that vibrant flash of brilliant heart.
Only the rhythm of both beats and the knowledge of each other’s agony
Kept everything from terribly falling apart.
Thunder and lightning at the core of our romance
Fulfill that primal energy inside that connects us as kindred spirits.
We’ve gone so long trying to hide our true selves
When there was no need to be so brave.
The voice I heard was your urge all along;
Your piece of death fits into mine like the perfect song.
We share a dream that none know of, or wish to be,
A distant world that is only for the wild creatures... you and me.
