Poetry- Surrender

Theres a fear loomin out the darkness
as i gaze into the hole
these eerie toughts have crept up inside
taking over my soul
never could have just a part of it
helped me get by
i see the vision is quite bleak tonight


theres an old man praying in silence
as i look out the window
the shades of grey remind me
each day we have to die
for life is just a part of it
but i need more to get by
the world has lost all its hope tonight


she walked into my life
and i held my head up high
A pain still lives inside of me
and i dont think she would realise
i could go for a fatalistic remedy
but i need more to get by
I guess she's gonna give up on me tonight


as I roam inside my weary head
picking each thought on the way
I see my life's been already dead
there's nothing left to say
your memory still surrounds me
but i need more to get by

if i could, i'd surrender to your will tonight
