Witness to a storm

Updated on August 9, 2012

Quiescent roiling, glory in grey,
Yellowing pall in command of the day,
Static fantasy, primitive fears
called forward from uncounted years.

Shaking, rumbling, anger on high
Nature’s fury rolls in with a sigh
Witness helpless, cowering, plain
silent worship, humbled again.
