Poetry.I take my hat off to you.
I take my hat off to you.
I wrote this poem for all the professionals and volunteers who put their lives at risk every day of the week with out a second thought. I hope that anyone who feels the same way as I do will join me and take their hats of to these great people.
"In the old days it was customary to remove your hat and cover your heart with it out of respect for something someone did. Nowadays, to take your hat off to someone means you respect and appreciate some action or deed they did."
I take my hat off to you.
For all the volunteers who give up their time.
I take my hat off to you.
For all you Samaritans out there working the phones.
I take my hat off to you.
For people who man the lifeboats in a stormy sea.
I take my hat off to you.
For the firemen who walk into blazing buildings.
I take my hat off to you.
For the soldiers who willingly give up their lives for us.
I take my hat off to you.
For the: Volunteers, Samaritans, Lifeboat men,
Firemen and Soldiers who gave up their lives for you.
What can I say?
