Ponderings and Promises.
Today's hub to end 2014 is all about what is really important in my life. I have never been materialistic and as the years go by I find myself turning more to compassion and care in order to try and balance all the hatred and pain that is in this world at the moment.
It is important that we try and look beyond this darkness because believe me there is still much brightness , much light and so much beauty. Whether it be in the countryside around us, in the bright lights of the cities, in the smile of an innocent child or simply in the hearts of so many people around us.
Let us take a moment to unite wherever we live, whatever our faith and promise ourselves that in this New Year ahead we will look harder to find this beauty. Also that we will do our best to care for others who are not as fortunate as ourselves.
The two main factors
to ponder to share;
above all else
are compassion and care.
x
If on your way
you meet a vagrant
smile with warmth
not seeming distant.
x
Some you come upon
with confidence so low
praise to the skies
bleak hearts glow.
x
The colour of skin
is immaterial
do we still judge
or just in denial .
x
Allow all to worship
ne'er mind their creed:
change all ways
plant that seed.
x
Many will grieve
so much pain they feel
compassion and care
will help to heal.
x
Through hate and war
death and pain
hopes so strong
so much to gain.
x
Natural disasters
ravage mankind
our prayers and hopes
united in mind.
x
The world's wildlife
nature's treasure
from your heart
cherish forever.
x
As we now step
into a brand new year
promise to care
for all you hold dear.
Just take a moment
Yes to remember others
To care and to share.
Moments
So precious
To nurture to cherish
Those heartfelt hopes for the future
A great belief yes stronger than all else
Find brightness where darkness once lay
A strength so surely felt
Cherished precious
Moments.
I hope you all enjoyed today's hub and here I would like to introduce you to the newest member of our family; Buddy (above). Buddy is my granddaughter Krystal's new baby and is already loved by all the family. I am sure there will be many stories on Buddy in the coming New Year.
A Happy New Year's Eve to you all from my little corner of Wales.
Eddy.
