Problem With Girl Of Dreams (limerick)

Updated on January 5, 2014

This boy met the girl of his dreams

From her all life’s purpose now streams

With love like no other

Why do sad tears smother

One can’t marry mother it seems

Your mother was once your very best friend

But now that you're married that has to end.

Line from a movie, A boy's best friend is his mother.

      That's pretty funny.

Haha. . .I have to second that sweet but sick notion! Just a little bit twisted there.

It's such a great compliment when a small child says something like that and we cherish such moments, even though it is funny.

Oh, how sweet. SICK, but sweet!! LOL

I have precious memories of when my son was little and used to say

he wanted to marry me when he grew up.

Now, we can hardly be in the same room without an argument ensuing.

I am still the same "Mom". It is HE who has changed. LOL

So true and I would add Kindergarten teachers.
