Pulled in Two

Updated on April 29, 2012

I am an artist, designer, photographer and writer. See more of my work on cmariearts.

I am pulled in two

Don't know where to go

Who is right

Who is wrong

Who is real

Where does everything end

I feel like escaping

Into a shell

Going far away

Setting the sails

I don't know where to go

Which way to turn

Enemies or friends

Who really loves me

What is best for me

My love is getting sick

Getting beat down

Pulled thick

Is it jealousy

Is it torture

I can't decipher anymore

Where can I go

I want to escape

Into territory unknown

Starting to feel like prey

By the masked unknown

Are these people good or evil

Trying to tear me down

When can I be set free

Everyone has an ego

Full of competition

It makes me sick

Trying to trap me

I want to laugh in their face

Go far away

Where I can be free

Truly loved for me

it's really hard to shed one's ego, part of it is the way you portray this in your poetry...

Wow so true and yet so beautiful.

Many a times, we are torn between people and situations. You portrayed it well.

This sounds so very, very, familiar, Caroline, that you would write a poem, now, that so describes someone very close to me. Thank you!

I am becoming a big fan of yours. I usually stick with hubbers who have proven over time that they do quality work and rarely to I follow someone I just discovered with the regularity that I am now following you. Excellent job and you are a fine writer.
