Put a Fork in.....

Updated on May 26, 2012

Just Put A Fork in Me

I think... I am done

I threw out my name

yes...I had some fun

It was a good race

that I have run

I don't know...where I finished

I might be number One

The names and the faces

To many to list

I love and respect them all

but some I showed my fist.

Poems and stories,

comments and words

if I put them together

I could have a herd.

But now it is all over

can't let it fester like a sore,

no words more from me

no more rhyming.... no more.

Love Always,

Michael

Good work. Had a great flow to it. And it seems to be a deeper meaning behind those words. voted up.

Hi Michael, don't really understand the true meaning behind this one, but it sounds like you've had enough of writing poetry? And a new pic..?

It would be sad to think that we could no longer read your words. I hope and pray that you are ok.

Hello. I do hope this was just a moment's frame of mind. In any case, don't let it get to you. Best wishes!

Heart-breaking, dear friend, hugs and prayers to you! You are such a romantic sweet sparkling soul, you'll get through, I believe in you! You'll outshine the gray I have no doubt. The blues are a powerful evil, never let it get to you, never give up!

Hi Michael! Hope all is well! We do have to feel down so many times as equivalent to being happy so many times as well. Prayers do get us through, silently or spoken out everyday in our lives. There is always "a" friend that we can lean on.

I do believe that we are capable of putting down our destructive thoughts in writing and mostly it is because of how we are feeling that day- sad, miserable, hurt, bitter, grief, hateful and even unremorseful to ourselves. Hurting ourselves is defeat. Our moods and what brings about a "story" to fill in a day's time, we pour all that energy into writing. When we are at most happy, we do the same thing by composing a poem or writing a story about this mood.

I'd like to think that this is just one of your "moods" of the day. Take care of yourself, Mike and keep well! Strive to be happy!

      Here's a smiley face for you :)

      p.s. You've done rhyming well.

Well, I was not going to answer any comments on this post, but i feel yours deserves a reply. you must have experienced what i was going through that day. Sometimes the mood of the "day" gets to me and i must let it out in my write. Frustration with life gets to all and some of us write it out of us, writing things we want to take back but can't after we publish it. thank you for your comments.

And i want to thank all who worried about my well being, it is heartwarming to know that you have friends who really care.

That's right, friend. I find it a good cry to put my feelings in writing, then, I feel better (talking about sad and down moments). I actually have two notebooks (a journal and poetry compilations) that I had filled up when I was still young, naive, fresh, in school and in love. Most contents are about locking my bedroom door behind me so it is only I who hears myself cry. And viola! those pouring out of words turned out to be "good" poems and I have cherished them, having these notebooks still with me. Happy moments, yes there were too but I have observed that I am most creative in words when I am sad. If you go through some of my poems on HubPages, you will find that I have expressed gray-coloured and dusky compositions pertaining to something, but I would take it a point that some bright thoughts go with it too. Why, beneath what we see and feel, lies a mellow conscience that brings about a flow of words so easy and effortless. I am merely glad to find "good and caring" friends here on HubPages as well. Makes our life worthwhile even virtually, hahaha! Let's both be glad to have them and I see you already have mentioned that. Cheers! I have to get back to my laundry and to check if my corn cob is done grilling! ~Tess

As I read your poem it made me very nervous to think you might be contemplating no more writing. Of course the poem is well done, as are all your works, so I was relieved to read your comment. Sorry you were having a bad day and hope all is better now. Voted up BTW.

I hope that doesn't really mean the end of your poems. I'd really miss them.
