Raindrops: A Poem

Updated on September 17, 2012

Drip drop, drip drop,

Somehow the constant staccato is soothing,

Like a chaotic symphony that somehow creates harmony.

Drip drop, drip drop,

I can hear the storms of my life fading away,

With every beat, my worries vanish at the unbroken sound.

Plip plop, plip plop,

The watery dance quickly moves me to peace,

And as the drops cascade down the window pane, I watch, mesmerized.

Plip plop, plip plop,

I can no longer bear the inertia that binds me to the chair,

Running outside, I splash into puddles to join nature's orchestra.

Splish, splash a new tempo to enjoy. Rain can be an addicting harmony. Lovely expression of nature's cleansing rain.
