Rainy Day Acclamation (an inspirational poem)

Updated on June 15, 2015
Rainy day reprieve...
Rainy day reprieve...
Raindrops received in appreciation...
Raindrops received in appreciation...
Rain withdraws in a mild contentment...
Rain withdraws in a mild contentment...
Blues skies return...now our endowment...
Blues skies return...now our endowment...

Rain falling down ...an acclamation,

To dry soil's face...in jubilation,

Well appreciated...this salutation...

Now is the time for a celebration.

Each precious drop...an exaltation...

Shown in kind, all's appreciation.

A new day comes...a confirmation...

Of mother nature's felicitation.

Sun's face is seen...such a regal sign...

By its signature, to feel sublime.

White clouds to float...now a fairest day,

A warming friend, now it does say.

Blue skies embraced... in our every way...

Flowers... vibrant colors, twirl in play,

Children run, as puppies chase...

New hope received...in its majesty and grace.

The grateful earth...and its firmament...
The grateful earth...and its firmament...

I love the rain, especially a gentle one that lovingly nourishes the Earth. Sometimes we're blessed with the beauty of a rainbow when the sun shines through the raindrops.

This is a lovely poem. The upper US has suffered much from the floods this year but your poem brings the good of it all together.

Nice poem to read after having a dry spell and getting a few showers. I hate days of rain - especially thunderstorms. It was beautiful, I voted it up, shared and pinned it.
