Death Poetry: Rapid Heart Be Still
I walk towards the light,
But it moves farther away.
Darkness begins to surround
Total state of dismay.
So close to coming home
My calling not yet fulfilled.
So close to the rapture
Rapid heart be still
I am still needed
My weary feet must walk again
How much more can be endured
When I yearn for the end.
I will walk
I will fulfill his will
I will endure
Rapid heart be still
One day he will call
One day my pain will end
One day I will live in rapture
Never to walk again
Rapid heart be still
It is not time my time
There is a reason
There is a rhyme.
