Rectify

Updated on August 23, 2013

Be reborn

Rectify

Make amends

Turn the wrong

Inside out

Reveal the truth in the lies

Come clean

Wipe the dirt

Off your face

Rectify

Get on your knees and pray

Ask to be forgiven

For your sins

Remember not to judge

Others because

They sin differently from you

Go to your old stomping ground

Forgive those who

Stomped on you

Rectify

Ask for guidance

From those you love

Trust the most important love

You know - The one from above

Change what you can

Forget the rest

Rectify

Look for the light

The truth

The word

For new beginnings

And a chance to be heard

Rectify

Go to the river

Cleanse

Be reborn

Rectify-renewed for second season

Go to the river

      Sweet Kim,

I've been thinking of you the last few days and wondered if I've been missing a new hub of yours or if you were due to publish another one. I saw your name come in and I flew, really... with wings opened wide!

This is beautiful and fitting through all moments in life, but I particularly appreciate it now. Really Kim, you have no idea how much I can connect with this right now. I love how you repeated rectify, acknowledging it's importance. What a wonderful write and it's just perfect!

Voted all kinds of things and sharing too!

      Hugs dear!

Some insightful verse you've written Kim about getting things right with The Man With The Plan, and reconciliation, and forgiveness. The photo is spectacular, and the ' Rectify show ' ( season 2 which you linked) looks intriguing.I noticed that you've changed your profile pic - is that another lightning bug? Those babies sure do glow through even the blackest darkness....

Have a lovely weekend, and best wishes to you.

      Yours Sincerely,

      R.Q.

High-impact style with much wisdom in your message. I have always loved the imagery of going to the river for salvation/rebirth/cleansing/renewal. ~Lurana

      Good Morning Friends,

And what a good morning you have made for me. Such a delightful surprise to sign on and see all these comments.

      Cat,

Spread your wings anytime, and I am always so glad when your wings bring you here. I feel a very close connection with you. I feel like if we sat down for coffee, it would feel so natural. You bring so much into my life with your writing and with your support. I appreciate the vote/share.

      RQ,

You are such a charming young man! With so many hubs under your belt in such a short period of time, #50 has probably long lost its gleam--unlike our luciferin-producing beetles--maybe one reason I changed my profile pic. Smiles. My dear sir, I hope what's left of the weekend is lovely for you, too.

      Marlin 55,

So glad to know there are others who have watched the show and are enjoying it as much as me. Thank you for saying that I captured the essence of the show.

      Faith,

God Bless You My Dear Friend. Thank you for the vote and share.

      cleaner3,

Always happy when you stop by. Thank you for your kind words.

      Martin,

So nice to see you. Thanks for calling my poem, "inspiring." Forgive my ignorance, but what does the "FB" stand for?

      Lurana,

While it has been a long time ago and not sure it is even done any more--even around here--but, I was Baptized in the river. Thanks for using "High-impact style" in describing my poem.

My Super Best to All of You!

Okay, you brought tears to my eyes now. That was such a beautiful thing to say Kim, thank you. I too feel very close to you and I think we've got very similar spirits and understand each other. I'm so very grateful to have met you here and you've definitely got a lifelong friend in me. (If ever I get over my fear of people, I'll have to make a trip down to NC and we'll have that coffee... lol)

      Hugs sweetie!

      Have a wonderful evening!

      Cat,

If ever I get over my agoraphobia, I will fly up to NY--which if I survived making such a trip, I may suggest something other than coffee. Smiles.

      Hugs to you, too.

      Kim

      J Houck,

Thank you so much! You can go to Amazon and watch the first episode for free. Of course, I know how busy your life is...so check it out when you can.

Oh Kim, I'm trying not to laugh, but after I read that word, I definitely knew I recognized it! ... Oh and of course, the beverage suggestion... lol.

Funny, I remember being a kid and wishing and waiting to grow up. You know, live out the fairy tales. I thought 'grown ups' knew all the answers and life magically becomes easy. Guess what? I want to be a kid again! lol

Dear Kim, re. "missing in action."

Sometimes a woman's heart and mind must trust, and stretch, and pray,

while her beloved stalks the far-flung world for savage prey,

that he loves her as much as she loves him, or anyone can say

in public lest the omnipresent literary censors start to bray.

Yes, be assured I think of Kim on each and everyday

and love her and her fertile work in each and every way.

Our hands held true sustain us as we stumble on our way

ensuring we gain ground to full fruition on the proper day.

      Dear Max,

      Per usual,

      you have gifted me,

      lifted me

      and made my day.

      I shall never ever question

      when you are away.

I will just do as you say

      "trust, stretch and pray."

      In the meantime,

      welcome back

      dearest one

      for however long

      you stay.

      WHAT CAN I SAY?

      An American Sonnet to Kim

What can I say when even sacred words like "I thank you,"

do not suffice to radiate, much less to measure you

or that intensely brilliant light that shines on me from you

revealing me inside and out both to myself and you?

Our closeness at this distance hardly can be understood

as anything but dawning universal personhood

      achieving explication as unmitigated good

when two souls intimate from birth crossed paths because they could,

and stayed together from the first because they knew they should,

and gradually in time came to believe they always would.

When two companions get too well accustomed to their nest,

it soon seems logical and simpler to ignore the rest

      and let their rock-and-rolling music dominate their nest;

but even fiercely purring mountain-lion women need some rest!

      Gratefully submitted,

      Max, July 29, 2013, 5:45 p.m.
