Redemption/a poem
Redemption
A pale yellow moon in the midnight sky, a restless heart that makes me sigh.
Tomorrow will arrive and find me here, sitting in silience, face stained by tears.
The sunlight will burn my sleepy eyes, a revalation of truth will will uncover the lies.
The hurt that they bestowed so long ago, has blossomed inside and won't let go.
A destroyed shell is what I've become,an empty soul, shattered and numb.
Fear and pain confuses my mind, the sting of cruelty has rendered me blind.
A child born of love, consumed by scars, prays for redemption beneath the stars.
