Outwitting the devil is a masterpiece that will awaken you in many ways.

As a kid, you were told that the devil has horns and holds a fork to torment you in hell, they lied- Napoleon Hill

How much do you push yourself to do what you want? Most are the times when self-doubt creeps in and persuades you to just stop. “It is just not good enough,” you tell yourself. “Am bored, let me do something else” that devilish inner voice might tell you. Well, the secret that draws the thin line that defines success and total failure are what you do when this inner voice begins to whisper to you. Some may give in and submit to it, while others ignore it and say fuck it! Let’s go ahead and finish this masterpiece! That inner positive voice is God. In the first place that`s why all His work began.

The second voice is the devil. It comes in the form of fear, self-doubt, hopelessness, temporary failure, giving up, and all the negativity you put upon yourself. Believe me, the story is not different for the second guy you see down the street. The difference is that you are here, and what you will do with all this information.

First, you should remember that you are already a winner because you are alive! Furthermore, you already possess an enviable desire for self-improvement that will only make you better with time.

How the devil comes to us.

The devil comes in the form of negativity especially when you have set your mind to achieve something. It might be a risk you ought to take, a workout plan you need to follow, or a benefit plan that you always procrastinate.

Napoleon Hill exposes tricks that the devil uses to deter us from our course in Outwitting the Devil. In an intricately engaging tete a tete with the Devil, Hill exposes his insidious ways. The 1937 classic was actually banned because it is still very controversial and unique.

Unfortunately, as we read along, we find that we have all fallen for that trap. The trap of making excuses instead of taking action. Were you working on a project and then stopped mid-way thinking it was stupid? Or you had been hitting the gym for a few weeks then suddenly you are back to your mac and cheese? I already feel a bit hungry.

In fact, I will be honest with you, I have been postponing this article since last month. Don’t stone me. But here we are. In the present. Am writing it as I sip a mug of awesome black coffee. It is the power of now. The devil confesses that harnessing the power of now by taking Immediate action can determine your success or total failure.

Don’t let temporary failures bring you down

Note, I said total failure because temporary failures are some of the hurdles the devil lays as weapons to blur our vision. The next step we take after we experience temporary defeat shapes us. Those who don’t give up are the winners. They free their minds and the only limit to their success is their own imagination. With faith, everything is limitless. Conversely, those who give up are part of the 98% of the world population who are shackled by the devil.

When you give up after a short-term failure, you go down a spiral hell of drifting. Maybe things are not going your way. We have all been there. It is a lesson we never want to learn. You have a task you ought to do and you postpone it to a later date. The outcome? tasks coincide and you are left with a pile of work. Or nothing happens. Yes, naturally, if you don’t put effort into something you get no results. It is a law of physics; objects do not move unless an outside force act on them.

Rediscovering yourself

When you came into this world you were in your purest form. If you want to rediscover who you were you will need to declare a war on yourself. I realized It is worthless to only read motivational books without taking any measurable actions. If we repeat a bad pattern it becomes ingrained in us as a habit and we will continue getting the same results. When God made the world, He meant for us all to thrive in abundance. It is never too late to invest more in yourself, read outwitting the devil today. I ordered the paperback copy but I would suggest the Kindle version.
