Relevance speaks
in the tongues of the dead,
their hearts
opened and directed,
a map to the stars.
Their symbols once held
in hands
detailing the
wisps of stories as old as the wind which carries
their smoke across valleys
in a language
turned within,
curls of meaning
drawn out
like so much straw blown on a winter's day.
And so I listen
with
my soul
drawn upward to meet it.
It speaks.
