Poem: Thoughts of a Fool

Updated on January 10, 2015

People change, Memories will always remain.

Reminiscence by the Foolish One

I look upon my past with grief,

for those were the only days of bliss

in this wretched life of mine.

But I swear I would never sigh

or choose to plead and say goodbye.

Nor would I turn back time

for memories will remain solemn and sublime.

Alone I walk and traverse through

for life's misfortunes have given me cue.

That in this game of life we play,

equality and love are not for fools.

Hi thanks for your comments, I guess I tried to focus on how he was confused and in a sense thinking of the past foolishly. Will work on it when I can:)

It's hard to grab onto the idea behind this write. I'm nt sure if its about the regrets we have about our ast mistakes or just a person living in the past and forgetting about the present.

Thanks:) Still getting in the groove of things haha. Realized that as I grew up, I had to do things that made economical sense as compared to what I like. Hope to reignite my passion for writing again.
