Rescue Me From Facebook

Updated on May 5, 2013

Rescue Me From Facebook

I clicked on my Facebook icon,
and oh my, what did I see.
Aunt Lucy broke her teacup,
and her cat is up a tree.
My friend Jack has a hernia,
and can't get out of his chair.
Janice needs to do the dishes,
and change the color of her hair.
Joe is going out to mow his lawn,
Janice still needs to do the dishes.
Randy is trying to get a date,
Grandma is posting Christmas wishes.
Mona likes to post lots of pictures,
of young, half naked men,
We wonder why she does it,
I guess because she can.
Little Johnny lost his balance,
and fell in a huge mud puddle.
Before I get done reading this,
my pea sized brain is all a muddle.
Oh rescue me from Facebook,
I can't stand another year.
Oh wait, a picture of Aunt Jackie,
drinking Uncle Fred's homemade beer!

I know what you mean . Some things that people reveal! Sometimes I am embarrassed for them.

My presence on FB is mostly to keep up with a bunch of family and friends who seem to have two main ways of communicating: FB or texting. So I do both, though sometimes am appalled at what is revealed on FB and what is concealed on text! FB certainly provides an excellent media for spying, though! ;-) I never knew so much about my children as I now read at any moment I drop by about grands and great-grands!

      Hello Cantuhearmescream

Now that was a lot to type! Thank you for reading and commenting. On Facebook I use my real name, but it is possible that we have crossed paths because I have family and friends all over the US., and you could be friends with them.

Uh... I think we have the same Facebook page :D

There once was a man named PADDYBOY

When reading his jokes, yell "Atta Boy"

Him's one funny dude, me think him not rude.

And read this hub thinking 'What a Joy'!

bearnmom thank you so much for stopping by. I do get so tired of trying to wade through the junk that shows up on Facebook. Unfortunately there don't seem to be any rules to keep people from posting, (excuse my french) crap on Facebook.

This a wonderful depiction of the hilarity of what is mistakenly put on facebook as newsworthy comments. I agree facebook is a tool to keep in touch with family but privately not for all the world to see. Good Job. Voted up ++.
