Reverie

Updated on December 2, 2015

~Reverie~

Anticipation,

is the waiting to feel

what was never granted

in the Solid World,

a warmth that embraces

only in Liquid Dreams-

where fluid water

cascades and flows

through fortresses and grim faces

to remain free of limitations

and unhindered, unending

Solidity,

it chokes out answers

we never desired to know,

leaves bodies dry and

aching, for the water

that promises to taste

of dreams.

A very well penned poem. The words flowed (no pun intended) :)

I sometimes imagine what it would be like if our bodies were fluid, and how we could experience everything we came in contact with as a liquid entity.
