Rewinding Slow Motion

Updated on January 25, 2014

Hold on to

The arms of the clock
Begin the future
I find your taste
In my mouth
Slaughter grief
Flirting with disbelief
I love yourself
Take it from me,
Find relief
Give it a squeeze
Love is discrete
A painful tease
For pleasure to breathe

Scream and shout
Your feelings
Emotions
And fluids
Leak out

Name your game
Insecure and beautiful
You and i
Are one
And the same difference

Kill me now
Or keep me forever

Living to look forward

He picked up the rock
That you were hiding under
And skipped it across
A bed of still watter
Not to come back
In his life time

NO...
This time, time is no trap
No ropes to keep him attached
Light a match
He loves the smell
Of sulfur
And the first step
In a new direction

"Kill me now or keep me forever." Very interesting, lyrical line. You are definitely a wordsmith. Great hub!

Wow, this is a really powerful poem. I like the dual time/comparisons of Future and past. I love the great ending. This is just a delicious piece of work. I had to share this on twitter.
