Hopefull invitation

Alone

Walls closing in

Listening for a sound

The telephone, the door buzzer

Automobile honking loudly next door

Excited happiness erupts

Hopeful invitation

Unneighborly

Alone.

This poem was amazing. I can't even imagine how hard it must of been, to provoke emotion and paint a picture with words ,in such a disciplined manner. You did great , I voted up and beautiful!

Ruby, that is definitely a mind twister, I copy and paste the section that you described it in. I'll have to get out my pencil and paper and play with that little bit, heck I might accidentally be able to do something the right way.

You definitely did, I hope you enjoy your day.

Hello Dust, This kind of poetry is new to me too. It's done by counting syllables..First line two-second line four-third line six- fourth line eight- fifth line ten-sixth line eight-seventh line six-eighth line four-ninth line two---first and last line, same word--No rhyming.. A lot of counting syllables. I'm happy you liked it. Thank you..

      Peace and blessings

      Ruby.

Sweet sister Ruby, I love how you are 'always exploring' different forms of writing - its always so provocative and genuine. This one caught me deeply in my heart. I know all too well about those evenings alone without the t.v. in the apartment when you can hear everything. I love how you throw in the invitation in one word, and leave so much to the imagination. Voted up and awesome. Love ya!

Incredibly creatively original, always exploring, yet very realistically hopeful and sad. Extraordinarily executed and equally moving.

When I checked out your video, I mistakenly yet gladly thought about John Travolta in Michael and his fantastic line dance, as I somehow connected it to "Heard it through the Grapevine", when it was actually danced to Aretha Franklin's "Chain of Fools". So, your piece brought me the enjoyment of your video and sent me to check of Chain of Fools and that fantastic dance scene in Michael. Thank you
