My mother went to heaven in nineteen sixty eight, i miss her everyday.

Mother

Always nearby

Tenderly caring

Her gentle love unwavering

Protecting loved ones through adversity

Discipline rendered if required

Afterward,sweet kisses

My memories

Mother

Aw Ruby, This was such a beautiful tribute to your mother and I love the photo of her.

Thanks for sharing this. It seems the loss of a mother stays with us no matter how old we were at the time of her death or how many years go by.

Sending Blessings & Love Your Way,

      Gail

Hello Ricky, Your thoughtful comment brought a smile to my heart. Stay close with your parents. Time has a way of drifting away so quickly. Thank you my friend...

Ruby, voted up and all across, but funny. Shared also. I'm so sorry for your loss. Such a beautiful poem and tribute. I just read another hub, similar position as you Ruby. As I told them, she lives on in this article and always in your heart. I'm fortunate to have both parents now and this reminds me to open my heart more to them. Although I can't say I understand how you feel, I know it never gets easy. May God hold you near and your mother even closer dear friend.

Hello Epi, We both loved our mother's and we both miss them so very much. That CD sounds wonderful. I had to take the hub down of George because hubpages said it was low quality. That hurt..Thank you my friend.....

I always resonate and relate to any tribute to a dear mum because my own mum was my best friend (as was my dad) and I lost my mum in 2004 and my dad in 1992.

She still visits me from time to time in this cottage by moving things around so I feel her close.

Love your beautiful heart Ruby - there surely ain't many women like you in this world that's for sure.

I will play that George Jones cd tonight - the one I told you I bought at Wal Mart for $5.00 and it's a salute to the music of Hank Williams Sr.

Sending to you three big Canadian hugs from Colin, Tiffy and Gabriel at lake erie time ontario canada 5:50pm on a nice sunny day here by the lake and not too hot.

Hello Fossi, I saw that movie, it was sad. I cry much easier too, I guess it's all the sadness in the world, plus we've both lost a husband through death. I think my mother would be surprised that i'm writing, in fact, so am i..Hee..Thank you my Hippy friend..

She's been in heaven for a long time now, anyway in terms of earth years . . . I imagine she is very very proud of her daughter.

That Maria Shriver video brought tears to my eyes. Seems like I cry so much easier than I used to. I was watching the movie "Glory" the other day and just balled my head off at the bravery of the freed slave men, Regimen 54, going into battle during civil war . . . a true story.

Wonderful tribute to your mom, Hugs, sweetie

Voted up and beautiful. A wonderful tribute to your mom. I lost mine in 1996 in March and that year she would have been 85 in May. I miss her lots too. You know our moms stay near us all our lives until we will have the chance to meet again. Hugs.

Hello Molly, Thank you for a sweet comment. My mother was kind and helped anyone who was in need. I'm fearful that i gave her some worries when a teenager but we were always very close. Cheers..

Ruby, This is an awesome hub. My mother (89 years) lives with my husband and I. Her heath is failing and I dread the loss of her. Your hub touches my heart and I know I have been blessed to have her with me for so many years.
