Running Away To Something

Updated on March 17, 2011

Tears falling I don’t even know why

All the pain you caused me and here

I sit crying because of something lost

Broken heart will heal

Soul comforted

Spirit rejoined

In all that’s transpired I still question why

If your love for me was real than why

Am I soaked in tears?

Washing my body clean of

Any memories of you

If it was that easy

What’s going to erased them from

My mind

Running away, running to something

Believing there is a future where

I can survive without you

Maybe the memories will never

Be completely exorcised

Your poetry is beautiful.. Keep writing from within your soul.. It only means your poems are real and many people all over the world have been there... And many will continue.. That's real talk.. As for me I love what's reality.. I look forward to reading more of your good work...

The push and pull of something within will always resonate with me. You did a great job of bringing this inner strife to paper, and showing that the surface movements of washing away our pain can be so easily completed, without ever solving the pain that still resides within. But the sun will always shine and the wind will always breathe a breath of fresh air upon us, no matter what kind of day/night/week/month/year we are having. Be one with the elements and you too shall ebb like the ocean... calmly and with certainty.

there is an ode to sadness here - and moral resignation - but for me anyway - a hint to the anthem - I will survive (you know that song by Gloria Gaynor) because you write with so much strength and pride.

I NEVER personalize my writing - NEVER - so if you see the first person pronoun - that's not me - when I read something like this it is sometimes difficult to read but you are such a good writer then it's worth the journey as the reader.
