Cozumel, Mexico Photo of Me, by Stephan

I always thought when I grew up,

That I'd have all the Answers...

But I don't.

I aways thought I'd be Rich and Famous,

Or was that just in My Dreams.

And yet... I find myself Content.

For what Life has sent my way,

Is so very, very Priceless...

And Cannot be Measured Monetarily.

Middle Aged was Someone else.

Now, Middle Aged is Me...

And I find, much to my Surprise,

That I like it!

I have a new found Confidence...

This body I'm in, has Served Me Well.

All the Parts are still in Good Working Order.

I Treasure that I can Walk, and Run with the Wind.

And I can still Enjoy the Sun with "Protection" on.

I have a Man who Loves me Unconditionally...

And Hope that he knows that I feel the same

About Him...And the Karma of Our Relationship.

I used to think when I grew up,

That I'd have All the Answers...

But I don't, and I'm glad.

Because I never want to Stop Loving, or Learning,

Or finding the Answers, or Asking the Questions...

As I Enjoy the Wonder... that is My Life,

And what is yet to come.

It was fun to be in Cozumel, Mexico...I'd never been there before. And you're right Minnetonka Twin, the older we get Life does become more interesting and exciting.

Great hub b. I am with you all the way. Middle age does bring a certain amount of contentment with it, or are we just waiting for another challenge?. As for confidence, I never had any when I was younger, but now I can hold my own most of the time. I dreaded reaching 40, but now at over 50 I enjoy life so much more. 50 brought me freedom to learn about myself again and the guts to act upon it. x

Life is awesome when we take the time to fully experience it and reflect on it. The world can turn upside down but life is still worth the experience.

      Quite beautifully done BTW.

When we are kids we think we'll have all the answers as adults, only to find out we never quit learning until we die. Great hub.

Tomorrow I turn 54. Like you b., I am lucky beyond belief...

The funny thing is, our lives keep getting better, but what is the superlative of most incredible? What is the math of beyond infinite happiness? So, by definition, then, we are a conundrum, my friend. ;)

A Wonderful hub by a wonderful person on a wonderful day OF a wonderful that's a stack of wonderful!!

      Love it!!

You are so right! We need:

Because I never want to Stop Loving, or Learning,

Or finding the Answers, or Asking the Questions...

We'll never get old with this philosophy!

Life would be so boring if we did not continue to learn and grow and love. i'm glad you are still healthy and able to enjoy your outdoor activities. So many, even as young as middle age, can't.
