Love like the Wind~ a Poem
And the wind blew with no patience,
breaking the branches of heart.
Scaring love with gusts of fear,
tearing things apart.
Destruction moving out of control,
with jealousy from warmth of sun.
Saying nothing will make you happy,
and you'll love only one!
Exhaling your power upon my face
I'm blinded with tears of dust.
Love has blown away and lost
to a place within distrust.
With a cool and gentle breeze of fresh air,
you lightly brushed my face.
A love unsaid, unseen, but felt
But now there is no trace.
I saw you moving up in trees,
then swirling under my knees.
Stirring up these dead dried leaves
but only for a tease.
You sailed a boat across a lake,
as I watched upon the shore.
Then left me softly once again,
to soar and then explore.
Attracting me and lifted up,
by your air above so high,
I'm only a crushed and weightless leaf
still waiting for you to fly.
