Seeing Through The Makeup

Updated on June 19, 2016

Jack of quite a few trades but a master of one. Read my hubs and figure it out for yourself. I do lots of research on various subjects.

I can see through all the makeup

What you really are,

But the realness is faked up,

Underneath you are the star,

Lipstick, blood shot red,

No man should want to kiss

But lips with texture instead

And softness of heavenly bliss,

Nails that are naturally shown

On both, hands and feet,

That reveals truth to be known

For truth turns up the heat,

Realness starts in the heart,

The engine of the body,

Keep oiled with love kind of art

To be unique and un-dotty,

Faith is real,

Automatic belief with God’s assuredness,

Faith comes as a spiritual seal

Of God’s lifetime pureness,

To be is what has occurred

According to Creative God,

No one is to be his or hers

Otherwise, their lives are too odd.

Allow God in Christ To Bring The Realness Out

As we praise the Lord, He brings us out. He allows us to be real and we are accepted better as we are uncovered. Does that make since? Who wants to be fooled as we go through life? Why fool ourselves into thinking we are something that we actually are not? Remember this, the more that we honor and praise God, the more we honor and praise ourselves and others. Nothing can beat the realness of that!

I'm glad you can see through my makeup, because I really am beautiful (though misunderstood). And my beauty is on the inside, which God understands, though no one else will. Voted beautiful!

The more we love and honor God the more we praise ourselves. I love that statement. We are His workmanship and our true authentic self, is beautiful to His eyes.

Beautiful song rendition! Thanks for the message of the poem. I second the motion that real is more powerful.

I agree that a natural look is best. No need to gild the lily, Nicely done with a charming poem.

Hi Sherry, in general, I think hair on a woman's body is attractive and appealing. Furthermore, it's okay if she wants to trim it, shave it or let it hang out a bit. Thanks for asking.

How do you feel about hair on women's bodies? God put that there too.

Hello The Examiner-1, I don't know why you couldn't see the video but I'll work on fixing it. It's of one of my best praising of God performances. Be sure to come back soon to check it out.

It was beautiful word55. I totally agree about no makeup; I, too, think that makeup is fake. I hit 'Play' on the video but I could not view it because it asked me to sign in - I did not know where. I voted it up, shared and pinned it.

The perfect thought on this Sunday morning. We can be only who we are....and that is more than enough.

I love the poem that ties into your subject.

Mostly understanding that you can not hide the real you, no matter the makeup.

But if you do are you the real treasure beneath it all. Great words.
