Sentient Ocean

Updated on July 08, 2014

A life of it’s own

The lungs of the earth

Only processed in reverse.

It’s skin a liquid landscape

On the surface we traverse.

Currents like veins

Keeping up eternal beat.

Feeding off the rains

Releasing waste by heat.

Defending from the land

With violent wave attack.

Tide retreats twice daily

But soon it will be back.

Arms open for a hug

But looks can be deceiving.

Underestimate this foe

And it’s grasp you won’t be leaving.

It’s mood mimics the weather

Wavering between extremes.

Caught between reality

And psychedelic dreams.

Below is a nice "loungy" house track with a montage of wave images. It's very relaxing and seemed appropriate with this post.

      Great poem and voted up.
