So many dark places
In the human soul...
God where did you go?
I wrote this poem in my college era, and early on in my life, being exposed to so many new ideals, experiences and even people, you witness so much sin, sinister beings, so much in fact you feel like you are becoming dark yourself. I used to ask a lot of personal questions, to be able to really tap into people quickly, because deep down inside I'm into anthropology I suppose and desire to understand human nature, and what makes people tick, why people do what they do... I used to ask men what's the worst thing you ever did to a woman, and after hearing someone's confession of a rape, along with their admittance of guilt, sometimes you feel what I tried to exude in this poem, which resonates more as a thought than as a feeling… Especially dealing with all the confines of society, such as sexism, racism, discrimination, hatred, violent acts, and so forth and so on… you wonder who hasn’t had this notion…
