Shadows
Lonely eye’s squinting to see
A certain longing willing to be
Vacant places of a heart drowning
Untamed by a name of
One unpleasant man
Less than unfortunate really
Belonging to a life you’ve followed faking
Spilling lies as you hide as you smile
Behind a mask of a glass case
Now just shattered pieces across your face
Unable to see through you
Looking to you such a disgrace
Waiting impatiently you wasted
For years I’ll never experience
'Cause for me this shadow
I will not brake
You will never feel this
No, you will not take
This misery of a boy more than pure
Pride stricken and filled by tears
Weak, standing,
Shaking and alone
Speaking few words rarely ever shown
Sorrowful words of torture mixed among painful memories
We will both borrow for ever, both of us
I'm on my journey as sorrow overwhelms me
I look over my shoulder to swallow these tears
To hide from your abusing insults
Fading away into the shadows
Of fears that overwhelm me
