She's just over in the GLORY Land "a poem for a sister who passed away"
This little poem is for a sister who was diagnosed with cancer from my church and has gone on to meet the Lord May 7th 2014. I woke up to a call around 11:35 pm to hear the sad news but as Christians we know we are pilgrims and this land we sojourn in is not our HOME. We are merely a passing through, my precious sister is now with the KING of glory out of the arms of sickness, pains, sorrows and agony. I rejoice with her to know that she has been a wonderful sister and has dedicated her life to Christ for many years. Even without children or a husband she sacrificed her entire life for JESUS. I know heaven can only have a special place for someone so dear and beautiful.
Even though we believe in God
even though we know where you
have gone, when you slipped away
today from this world.
As mortals we will still miss you sister
Lorraine , we are sad to know that we
won't see you anymore until we to
leave this sinful world.
Your pew will be empty and each time
we pass by it we'll remember there you
once sat or stood. I am sadden but yet
HAPPY you no longer have to suffer
that horrid disease. But is passed from
death unto life.
I am sorry i did not get to visit you
I already made plans to come this
Saturday but sure things did not
work out my way. Because God called
you a few hours before and you just
had to go.
I dreamt you died last Sunday so i
was not surprised at the news, that
you had passed away. To God be the glory
my sister i know God can only have a
special place for a person like you.
Enjoy it until I to come on home
to abide with you on that beautiful
shore.
