Shooting Stars

Updated on April 26, 2010

lying on the grass

tonight

without minding the world

it’s just me

stargazing with you

cold breeze

and rose petals in the air

I feel godly

tonight

only you can take what’s mine

baby, do I take your breath away

like a night sky slowly turns to day

would you still be here

even if I have to walk away

shooting stars…

when are you fallin…

in a certain blink

the clock would stop…

you ought to know

just don’t let me go…

lying on the grass

tonight

without a care to the world

it’s just me

staring at your stunning face

your profile

mesmerizing being

I just forget

how to breathe

don’t care if I’ll be broken again

baby, I’m in love with you

it makes me cry

and I can’t tell you why

perhaps it’s not the time

shooting stars…

when are you fallin…

in a certain blink

the clock would stop…

you ought to know

just don’t let me go...

youthful take on an ancient quest. Loving the fact I get lost in the details of your soul...the words you share tingling memories almost long lost. Thanks

Stunning, I loved every bit of it.

      Romance, lost in someone's presence

A feeling I miss more than anything. You have a unusual way with words, and it's beautiful and intensely real.

Beautiful poem. I felt it was the lyrics of a song...if it isn't already, it could easily be set to music. Thanks. Very provacotive hub. Touche to Graham-a cynic of sorts, obviously. Thank you.

I have a poem you might want to read on my hub: Soul Work: JOY

Words that flow like water flow best. I loved stargazing as a kid. I still like to look at the stars, wondering what life has in store for me. This is wonderful. You have so many great love poems here. Please publish them, Blaise. I will buy them gladly. Take care.

This music video was intense, yet had some soft wording? In the end, we all need love, even when we feel we want to be alone. "We were created to love, and be loved." Great Poem!

Thanks for reading and commenting, Graham. You didn't get it because you've never been there...Someday you will...wish you luck for the one who would bring you in there.

in one word: flaccid. I just don't get any real emotion from it, a fleeting sentiment, some superficial details, but that's it.

      One, 21 guns

      Lay down your arms

      Give up the fight

Throw up your arms into the sky,

      You and I
