Sickness

Updated on October 6, 2012

The sickness

That has left me here

Dying

Alone

My black heart

Crumbling

In despair

It has killed off

All life in me

Leaving an empty shell

Of what used to be

Destruction has come

Taken over

Flames burned to ashes

Rotted to the core

I hate you for doing this

To me

Leaving me astray

You came here

To conquer

Leaving nothing in your path

Taking everything good away

All the beauty

All the love

Gone

Left

Swept away

This is a strikingly enunciated verbalization of the painting. Well done Caroline!

Really a lot heavier than I need to relate to.

Dark poetry indeed, reflecting the painting well.

I felt your words, I saw the terror and I have often witnessed the sadness involved in the nightmares that haunt writers. Peace and blessings I send to you this night sweet poet, bravo well done, yet it echoes of fear and loneliness.

Dark is right, how deeply saddening. I often feel the same way. I hope you find your way out of it soon.

Caroline, Well chosen words for a compellingly enhanced image of Munch's "The Scream".

      Appreciatively, Stessily

Hmmmm...the sickness you speak of seems to be contagious, sadly...

Your choice of words are mesmerizing - the picture they paint vivid - the message loud and clear to those who will listen!

      sharing, Caroline..
