Signed and sealed...A dark poem

Updated on February 16, 2013

Did you think I would forget?

Silly girl debts need to be paid

Your wish in blood was set

My will won’t be swayed

You had your years of fame

Spent your time in the spot light

This was never a game

There is no victory in your fight

Your soul is mine

Signed sealed and delivered

You had the choice to decline

Should have listened to that cold scared shiver

Now the glory is done

And it’s time to face the reaper

Remember all that wonderful fun

You had after you signed the paper

Sealed in your own blood

Promises made and kept

Lifting you out of the drudgery and mud

Your soul a price I accept

So now it’s time to pay

For the new life I gave

You have no choice but to obey

Your soul is now my slave

So remember it was you that called

Asking to taste more than your share

With ease you were so enthralled

So willing on your soul to swear

So please stop your begging

It’s really a waste of time

Get ready to start a screaming

Your agony is all mine!

Devil
Devil

Greedy mortal so eager for more

Should have stayed in the light

Never knocking on my dark door

The devil has always had bite

So many of our generation have bargained with the devil for so much less than fame and fortune that there is standing room only left in hell. Hell is a perpetual line standing on hot coals waiting for a cool drink of water. Its no joke. Great poem and image.

Indeed forgiveness is not the devils business so why the greedy play the game I will never understand, I am thrilled that you enjoyed it... thank you!

Hi nightwag: You made me do it so am humble and a little bit sorry as it sad and mad and .........

Come then and take my soul

It was the only thing you felt was worth the bargain

A simple needy human was thus traded funny

You gave me much that was a devils delight

I bargained it again for better terms, with Budda

And he gave me the soul of a common salmon

      The bargain then was seven

You remember it sends you to Transylvanian heaven

So take my soul to oceans eleven another number

Made to fool a bargain hunters punter

And drive the dark dark devil, marbles

Found somewhere in the Northern Territory

A land of milk and minerals and trading honey

Absolutely adore the last line :

The devil has always had bite.

Well your 'dark' writing always has bite - and it's intoxicating and once again I promise you - you are my dark poetic angel - and your words, your thoughts and imagination always inspires the epi-man more than you'll ever know.

Just home from work on a rainy night where it could be snowy at this time of year and sending you warm wishes and good energy from Colin and his cats at lake erie time ontario canada 5:10am and my darkest entry as of late is Where the crow no longer flies.

Peace be with you and thank you for our friendship

Its is becoming a true pleasure to have your comments appear and this was no different,

What a slippery little soul to catch you sound to be, bargaining and weaving with all the powers that be:)

thank you for improving my day, this was a great take on my poem and I simply love it

"Should have listened to that cold scared shiver" is my favorite line. That feeling that makes our hair stand up, or send "cold, scared shiver(s)" down our spines. Voted Up! Awesome!
