Simple girl [Poem]

Updated on March 9, 2013

She was a simple girl,

she dreamed reading a book or a poem,

but it didn't matter if her life was not so good.

A reason to smile she always gave me.

She was of that kind. And she was pretty, I can say.

Not one of those girls that you turn your head when they're walking on the sidewalk.

She was simple. She was more. She had something that grabbed my heart, I can say.

Some clearness, some... sincerity.

She was so special. A kind of woman that when she's into your arms,

you know that she's there and never in another place.

Give me simple character any day over glitz. Show me a person's true character and that is the person I want to know better. Lovely poem my friend.

Thanks for your comments, friends. But unfortunately, as you can read, I use the past in this poem. She doesn't love me no more. I just hope that she'll be happy, with someone else even if he'll never be in love with her just like me.

Love, unfortunately, is like fever. It rises and falls without our will.

This kind of love is what we all look for. I guess even if it doesn't last, it feels good while we have that special one with us. If we are lucky, we find it again.
