Simplicity Within Complexity

Updated on August 12, 2011
Source

Simplicity is found

within the most

complex of concepts.

The chaos encompassing

the subtle subconscious

is but a delusion,

which was designated

to distract

and disable

Dramatic interpretations

of simple truths

are the most misleading

of our design flaws

The unending flow

of deception

within ourselves

defeats the purpose

we were given

by the One,

who resides outside

our understanding

Take a moment

to relax

and reflect upon

your instincts,

which may be

the voice of reason

inside the screams

of broken logic

Understanding is gifted

to those who venture

outside the laws

of society’s lies

Meaning is found

through a process,

slow and painful

Lessons are learned

inevitably through repetition

of failure

and fault,

which guide us

through the gates

of enlightenment

He is here,

not to be feared,

but embraced

Hide not your face,

from the One

who awaits

your ascension

into the dimension

of kings

Become a martyr

to the cause

Find yourself climbing

above physicality of body,

and mentality of mind,

leaving behind

complexity of concept;

Finding simplicity

So glad that I 'hopped' onto this hub article/poem ... just love it and will be pressing the 'follow Ben' button.

Be TRUE to yourself because at the end of the day that is all that really matters. :-)

haha that's good, and you're welcome to disagree. I'll look for your response :]

I liked it and while I disagree with your conclusions, your observations are very spot on. I think I will respond to this elsewhere as well.

Of course, this is not about me in the least. But of course - I am always curious about people and their depths, but never to judge or assign my meanings to them. As Twilight Lawns says, I am thrilled that you portray what you choose to write with excellence, style, elegance, eloquence and, most of all - a kind of conviction. So be it. I still don't judge what-all it is. First of all, no one is a finished work. There is much lying ahead in the future - many challenges, enlightenments, peak experiences, giving to others, even your share or more disappointments. All for your edification if you meet them with your own authenticity. So you will change - and always remain integrated. I just watch in awe.

Twilight - I appreciate that. Its becoming clear that I can write in multiple styles and form, and people still enjoy it. I was unsure, at first. Thank you

Nikki - thanks for paying close attention, and for using examples :] I agree with you

Mentalist - as always, thanks for the interesting comment. It's nice to see you reading most of my new ones. You show support well, thanks :]

      this line.. "Lessons are learned

      inevitably through repetition

      of failure

      and fault,

      which guide us

      through the gates

      of enlightenment"

so very true and it can be very slow and painful... we should learn from our mistakes. and grow

      "Dramatic interpretations

of simple truths" are but lies, and yes they

      "are the most misleading

      of our design flaws"

to lie and deceive one another is not what The One would want, and I dont know who The One is in your writing, but for me it is God.

very good work, and very wise my friend.

Would Nellie ever ask? I wonder. Perhaps she would be happy to know that your true beliefs were irrelevant, so long as they were written about elegantly, or eloquently, or both. And these two criteria, I believe, have been addressed in your work.

Nellie, your comments recently give me the impression you are curious about my true beliefs, deeper meanings to poems, etc.

This is a clear-cut deeper meaning.

This is the answer to some people's questions

      Thank you

I like this very much, Ben. It is quite spiritual.

There is a bit about it which reminds me of a little thing I wrote once long ago:

      Am I outside looking in

      Or are they inside

      Looking out?

Bottom line is, one realizes it is insignificant whichever it is.

Tough topic but you did a good job. I've gone to Catholic school all my life, if they said things like this, maybe I would still be Catholic...guess we'll never know :\ Good poem!

I think you, of all people, have earned the right to something simple. I hope you get it.

Such wisdom from a young one and so eloquent. Have you studied metaphysics? I agree with a lot of what you say here. Second stanza is so spot on but I could go on and on.... loooooove this one.
