Nectar of Life

Nectar of Life

Watch leaves twist and sway,

And somersault in the wind,

Look how they traveled in life !

Graceful they touch the soil !

When you look at thoughts,

And dump them in old bucket,

Think of the curves of mind,

Do you still smell the spring ?

The well is bereft of water now,

Kids throw pebbles and rejoice,

It smiles a bit and loves the fun,

Don't forget how you visited it !

Rhapsodic then your thirst was !

The wind that blows so hot now

Was it not cool on your cheeks ?

Where are tears of bliss now ?

Dwell you now in reticent heart,

And autumn of your deep eyes,

Vestige of the roaring waves,

Let the life chisel you sharp,

And love sip into your senses,

Cast a spell on eternity itself !

As a camel, sip nectar of life !

Resurrect what you have lost !
