Siren Song
This waistband is
A wee bit snug--
Forego desserts,
I guess I must.
But in the store,
A chocolate bar
Speaks to me by name.
Now, I know those jeans
Still fit;
Just remember
Mother's posture rule.
Passing by the bakery though,
A chocolate donut
Looks lonely on the shelf.
Today, I'll just wear sweats;
Get through the day
Breathing comfortably.
***********
Somehow,
A chocolate morsel
Is melting
In
My
Mouth...
