37 "Sitting On the Beach"- another poem
Dedicated to my special someone.
Sitting On The Beach
Here I sit alone on the beach,
As I watch a beautiful sunset.
For now you are out of reach,
But not for long on my life I will bet.

Because we are joined at the heart,
Some day we will separate never more.
We knew from the very start,
We were meant to be together on the shore.

Together we weathered so many years,
Knowing there would be a right time.
We knew it was right and shed many tears,
While many others felt it was a crime.
**********
I was married to her,
You were married to him.
My love for her was gone for sure,
The fact that you loved him was slim.
**********
We both knew our love was meant to be,
Our souls were meant to be together.
What we had was hard for others to see,
No matter how they felt we could weather.
**********
Our hearts were meant to be connected,
Together we would stay forever.
With each other we had feelings resurrected,
Our hearts are together, no one will ever sever.
