Slices of Night: A Novella by Erica Spindler, JT Ellison and Alex Kava
Slices of Night
Three sets of crimes during the middle of the night, three cities, one cross-country serial killer. That was the premise for three best-selling authors to collaborate for the first time in this three-part thriller novella. Each mini main leading character had their own vignette in between their series or after their series ended. Erica Spindler kicked it off in New Orleans, when NOPD Detective Stacy Killian, from the Stacy Killian series, was first on the scene of a slaughtered teenage mother. While she suffered her own miscarriage, which hit close to home for her, when there was another crime of a homeless person. JT Ellison followed it up in Nashville, when Lieutenant Taylor Jackson from the Taylor Jackson series, had discovered the same kind of crimes that happened in her doorstep. She was now newly engaged to John Baldwin, a FBI Profiler, who helped Taylor solve this murder. Alex Kava brought it to an end of a shocking conclusion in Downtown Lincoln, Nebraska with FBI Profiler, Maggie O'Dell from the Maggie O'Dell series, who recovered from her own injuries from a previous case and connected the dots to track down this killer, before he hurt someone close to her she cared about.

My Thoughts
For this thriller, I enjoyed the collaboration of these three best-selling authors of linking crimes from one to another. They take you on a thrilling roller coaster ride of thrills and chills with every gripping page with one evil serial killer and his nefarious motives. All crime-lead roads had lead back to him on this triple threats of preying on his victims during the night. From the first page to the last, this would hook you in one setting. They also collaborated in another novella, Storm Season, too. After I won my Kindle last fall in a Facebook contest, I purchased this e-book that I've been wanted to buying for the past year or so, since it came out.
