Small fingers

Updated on October 1, 2012

Lost in a deep sleep

No feeling in my limbs

No thoughts, just soft darkness

A sleep peace only brings

But then life returns to me

Small fingers grab my nose

I know what is coming next

So I keep my eyes closed

Sure enough I feel it

Small fingers start to poke

Shall I keep them closed now

And carry on the joke

But I am just as happy

I can't wait to hear you cry

And giggle as I say BOO!!!

When I open up my eyes

Beautiful small fingers poking Daddy. And Daddy have written this equivalent beautiful poem to his "Little One". I cannot say (...to his "Small Fingers") that will sound so silly, LOL!

And she still does! I just posted a poem I think you may appreciate. It's called "Hindrance". Let me know your thoughts.

Yep Shauna your comment took me straight back to those mornings before she could speak and slept with me and the Ex, she would wait until she could wait no longer to wake me up and the smile and joy from her was like heaven, she loved or little games.
