Snow days!

Updated on September 21, 2008

Snow! In it's many wraps!

With the heat of summer pushing on us right now...snow in it's many get-ups is just a mere memory...

Beauty!

The beauty of nature only emphazised by snow and ice particles...Pine cones dressed in creamy white...

The Teasel is prancing about in snow-white

------------------------------------------------

Still more beauty!

Have you ever just sat outside in the quiet of an early winter morning when the snow insulated and muffled all the noises?

-------------------------------------------------

Did you feel the serene calm that enclosed all around you...and it let you fill your lungs with clean crisp air to their full capacity?

-------------------------------------------------

Snow-days!

This day was cancelled due to lack of interest...(in snow shoveling that is) only fun activities were allowed with hot-chocolate for the kiddies and hot toddies for me... with the temptation of winter hibernation plainly in sight...

-----------------------------------------------

Snow-birds!

There are many types of snowbirds that leave us when the going gets tough (not that I blame them)

-------------------------------------------------

This Canada goose had a busted wing so he decided to spend the winter in our barn.

-------------------------------------------------

The world famous Canadian Snow-birds performing

-------------------------------------------------

Canadian snowbirds happy as larks in their southern plumage, getting ready to spend the winter months in Florida...

In camper concealed, 6 more of those god aweful shirts each, with the whole kit and kaboodle including the kitchen sink packed and just about gassed up and ready to "Wagons roahhhhll"

-------------------------------------------------

Snow Creatures!

Snow-man? Look at those hypnotique eyes starring at me...sssooo sssooooooooo ferrocious.

Dangerous and unpredictable!

----------------------------------------------

Snow-bunnies... might seem innoscent and oh-so-soft now... last summers baby bunny production 50% up; carrot crop 50% down!

-----------------------------------------------

Snow-Leopard... a sweet pussy cat if I've ever seen one.

----------------------------------------------

Snow Activities!

Skiing one of lifes special treats even though Snow-lifts or ski lifts have left me dangling on more then one occassion at Horseshoe-Valley our local ski-resort. At age 45 Snow-mogels for the first time, my knees have not been the same since

-----------------------------------------------

Hung up my skies for Snow-shoes

-----------------------------------------------

Have yet to try snow-boards maybe a treat for this coming winter

-----------------------------------------------

Snow-Drifts!

Man-o-man look at those snow drifts. Whose turn to shovel?

----------------------------------------------

I'm so tired of snow!

Where did my car get to? It was here an hour ago. EEney meeney miiney moe! Which lump could my car be?

-----------------------------------------------

Who is going to dig me out... Again for the fifty-eighths time this season?Alright, that does it, move over let's get it out of the way aggggggggain...and again... with the magic of the snow-blower...

-----------------------------------------------

Ready set and..............go!

What would we do here in Canada without the snow-plows...?

-----------------------------------------------

After a long haul!

The most welcomed sight after the what seemed to be the longest of long winter seasons...

True harbingers of Spring the little snow drops are one of the first flowers to brave the still frigid cold just to give us hope that soon there will be many more flowers, warmth in the sun...

------------------------------------------------

Hope for dandelions throughout the lawn... hope for days when you just finished cutting the lawn and you'll have to turn around and start all over again... hope that it will be too hot again to even move a muscle... bugs... mosquitoes... and

Yummy SNOW-CONES!
Yummy SNOW-CONES!
