Solace

And God said,

"Come to Me, My Child for I need you by My side.

We have others to gather...You've been so faithful - I need you to help Me ease their ride.

Your life has been full. You've held Me in your Heart.

For those who don't understand, it is for this I'm assigning your Part.

You've loved and you've given. Your job now is to reap our Joy and help Me bring home the Forgiven.

For you are my Angel whose soul will now enjoy

and Know Me,

your God in Heaven"

One of my all time favorites by you my sensational Shauna and yes it hit home because I lost my two best friends, my mum and dad, back in 2004 and 1992 and now I don't have any family anywhere and because the Stewart family name will end with me as I have no children - we will disappear forever.

And for the record you will always be 105 pounds in my mind Shauna, lol, I hope you are having a nice day and that you are healthy and happy and I will see you on FB with a post and a link of your beautiful words here.

Epi, I'm so sorry to hear about your parents. Mine are 75 now and very healthy - thank God. My natural father is not doing as well. He'll be 81 next month and suffers from emphyzema. I'm afraid my family name won't carry on once all of my parents are gone either. I am one of 3, with only one boy in the mix. Sadly, he can't have children.

You have become my number one fan, Colin. That means the world to me. You have a friend for life in this little girl!

Wow, and we have the same title! You are right, it's different from mine.....mine should have had a question mark in it, LOL..... Beautiful, and very you :)

      Voting up and everything!

Lizzy, I'm really surprised HP didn't flag your title. I guess they consider content before doing so. Improvement on their part, yes?

As for our titles - great minds think alike! :-)

I was wondering about that too! They usually will say the title is taken or something like that.....

And, yes, great minds do think alike! Woohoo!

Lizzy, I actually wrote this poem as an insert to a sympathy card for a friend who lost her mother a couple of years ago.

It's ironic you and I chose the same title for different perspectives on 'solace'.

Shauna~Such a comforting and beautiful poem. I lost my mom when I was 9 and dad at 35. I miss them both very much but I know they are in God's light and love.

Minnetonka, I bleed for you. I'm glad you found some comfort in this poem. It was my intent when I wrote if for my friend. I wanted to share it with others who suffer loss. Those who pass on too often suffer before leaving this earth. God's hands embrace them and take away the pain.
