Sonic you were a blast

Your processing system so fast

Just like you my friend with fur so blue

You could defeat anyone nothing you couldn't do

We awaited the day you and Mario would duke it out

We awaited that final bout

We thought you had so much to offer

We thought you were hard like steel not bendy like copper

You were a legend with your side scrolling adventures

It seems like you have tried so many poor ventures

I miss the way you use to destroy your adversaries

You never feared Dr. Robotnicks creations no matter how scary

Metal Sonic couldn't touch you

You gained respect from Knuckles too

Tails followed you anywhere you wanted to go

Your games now aren't as good as tail's on the game gear when he's alone

Its sad how proud you were back then

before the invention of shadow and unnecessary friends

In your new games you date humans in a forest like spot

Most of your new game have no plot

I wish an old school style game you and Sega would take a shot

Instead of these 3d games left on the shelf to rot

You still have it in you to be the best

Your cameos in super smash brother are sadly your best

Possibly greatest roles you've had in a while

Sega must be in denial

Not allow you a chance to return to your roots

or even offer an original sonic style reboot
