Sonic The Hedgehog Return To Us Poem

Updated on June 23, 2014

Sonic of old

Sonic The Hedgehog
Sonic The Hedgehog

Sonic the Original game

Sonic Title

Title Screen
Title Screen

Sonic gameplay at its best

Sonic back then

Sonic and how he use to be
Sonic and how he use to be

Sonic Vs Metal

Sonic knuckles and tails vs metal sonic

The original good guys and one of the original bad guys
The original good guys and one of the original bad guys

Sonic The Hedgehog

Sonic you were a blast

Your processing system so fast

Just like you my friend with fur so blue

You could defeat anyone nothing you couldn't do

We awaited the day you and Mario would duke it out

We awaited that final bout

We thought you had so much to offer

We thought you were hard like steel not bendy like copper

You were a legend with your side scrolling adventures

It seems like you have tried so many poor ventures

I miss the way you use to destroy your adversaries

You never feared Dr. Robotnicks creations no matter how scary

Metal Sonic couldn't touch you

You gained respect from Knuckles too

Tails followed you anywhere you wanted to go

Your games now aren't as good as tail's on the game gear when he's alone

Its sad how proud you were back then

before the invention of shadow and unnecessary friends

In your new games you date humans in a forest like spot

Most of your new game have no plot

I wish an old school style game you and Sega would take a shot

Instead of these 3d games left on the shelf to rot

You still have it in you to be the best

Your cameos in super smash brother are sadly your best

Possibly greatest roles you've had in a while

Sega must be in denial

Not allow you a chance to return to your roots

or even offer an original sonic style reboot

Is unfair to you and your fans

I still remember when people would sonic he's the man

Now get back to running jumping and spinning along

No more making games that are so wrong

We want you back in action stopping Robotnick once again

Return to us how you looked back then

2d in all your glory is what we desire

Back to the original Sonic the Hedgehog the one we all desire

Sega 6 pak consisting of Sonic the Hedgehog

Favorite Sonic poll

Which Sonic The Hedgehog game is your favorite

See results

My mind sporadically, same time compatibly

Wayne Carter, graduate, bang bang academy

Change my reality, thank God for grabbin' me

Sort of like him, cause they can't stop the wrath of me

But, Hell have no fury, Neither I

Even I would walk up in the Devil's Kitchen, eat a pie

Greedy eye, never full, getting fat

And bitch I got an itch, so don't let me catch you with the scra-scra-

Scratch y'all niggas off the face of the Earth

Even Mase came back for the money outta church

So with that on my mission for that money, I'mma work

My divine intervention might be in that woman's purse

Tryna find a better system, but I'm running out of perks

Baby daughter tummy irks, then daddy heart hurts

So daddy pop at 'em until they heart burst

For my baby girl candy I make her starburst

9/11 was a fucking shame, I done saw worse like

What if that bullet would have hit my heart first

Life, would it be different, I be still fuckin' 'round with death

Cause I got shot after that, and after that I grab the empty case

And tried to throw that bitch back at they faces, Cita I made it

My nigga Real was on the ground like "naw", I got up and looked around, and grabbed the spot like "ahhh..."

I"m hard to kill, hardy har, cut the music back up and keep the party goin'

Fuck 'em, and I don't need no crease, I'm a motherfucking gangster off Eagle Street

I don't need the Hot Boys, I still keep my heat

And I ain't gotta squad up, I still keep my feet

They call me Michelangelo, you paint them so street

But you remove that wallpaper, bet that sheet-rock weak, (haha)

And you and I know what's goin' on, you probably riding to a different song

I'm probably riding on some different chrome, I'm probably high in a different zone

But when I'm off, we can get it on

I take no days off catch that shit for my friend

I clock out when I punch in, I'm shootin

Reel you ain't gotta block out, it's goin' in 'em

Them rats stop hatin' on the snake, the boy venom

The cat like Payton for the Lakers gon' win 'em

      I'm certified stamp, I'm a champion

Like Buju Banton, I shoot you nine times like you was Fifty

But you won't be as likely as Fifty, I light me some Piffy

Light hella bright on the Infi, like what nigga, like me or lift me

I don't duck I be right in the city, for them bucks

I take me a flight, and come and get right, right in ya city

Yup, I'm just like Diddy, and nothing like Puff yeah

I'm something like city, he something like Young Wizzy

My Nike's is spiffy, I'm hardly a Gotti

I'm slightly a Nitti, all of a Carter

Bitch niggas never bitch me, bum niggas never ditch me

Shit I gotta get me, man I'm raw, slit me

Thank God for granting me this moment of clarity, this moment of honesty

Ain't no more squad in me, unh

My grandsons loved Sonic and Super Mario. I had fun just watching them enjoy their games.

Yeah it's based off a video game from the early 90's so it could take you for a loop if you've never played It before. Thank you for the read and comment, and yes I try to rhyme every time.

Knuckles, Tails...huh? I kinda feel like I'm Wilma Flintstone here but Joe, the way you rhyme is a crime...and that is really cool.

I'm smiling and I think I should be? Thanks, pal! Hugs, Maria

I appreciate the kind comment and nostalgia you feel for the character. My poetry come from influences of rhythmic poetry from the 1800's to rap so I really do appreciate your fondness for it.

Well Sega has been trying to get back to their roots which allowed them to be successful so we'll have to wait and see.

I remember Sonic and played the game with my kids a few times. Great poem Joe, sounds like the Hedgehog needs revitalizing. Hope Sega do it.

Much appreciated Torrilynn, happy you enjoyed. I was surprised a few people had no idea who sonic was.

Yeah gave it a spin instead just being nostalgic in a narrative sense I figured lets make it into a poem.

I remember Sonic, too, really liked his character. I enjoyed reading this, nice poem, very creative to write in verse about him!

Happy you both enjoyed the flow, Sonic was one of those game I grew up with and since then most of the entries have been truly horrendous. Thank both for reading and commenting.
