Soothing Sorrow

Updated on December 22, 2015

Reeks of Death and black as night

My Lifetime has no Tomorrow

Limp- I’ve given up the fight

Searched for Hope-no End in Sight

Find Comfort in this Soothing Sorrow

Soothing sorrow will make numb

Hurts at first, but then no pain

Like a shot of novacane

Dentist’s needle in your gum

Lighting strike, then Autumn rain

Joy has now begun to chafe

I’m a Phony when I Smile

Peace and Love- no more my Style

Lonesome Sorrow- very Safe

Pleased with Pain, Expect Denial

This the choice I have to Weigh:

Pain Today is sharp and Real

Dead and Dull, what could I feel?

Sorrow Tomorrow or Today?

To Good or Bad, what do I Kneel?

Soothing sorrow will make numb

Hurts at first, but then no pain

Like a shot of novacane

Dentist’s needle in your gum

Lighting strike, then Autumn rain

God has cursed me in this Life

I’m getting used to all this Fire

His Promises I now Retire

If I can’t Beat, I’ll Join this strife

Since Soothing Sorrow’s my Desire.
